Why we started Get Grounded

Like most golfers, we know the frustration of a game that’s there one moment and gone the next. You practise, invest in equipment and keep looking for something that makes good golf more repeatable.

What frustrated us was how rarely that search reached your feet.

We’re Hans and Chris, the golfers behind Get Grounded. Between us, we bring experience in golf, biomechanics and building businesses. We share an obsession with understanding what helps a golfer perform—and a belief that the foundation beneath every swing deserves far more attention.

Golfers analyse shafts, compare balls and fine-tune their equipment. Yet the connection between the player and the ground remains, in our view, golf’s most overlooked performance element.

That’s why we’re building Get Grounded.

We develop golf-specific performance insoles around a clear purpose: giving golfers a more stable foundation for control and confidence through the swing. Our development has involved prototypes, material testing and input from podiatrists, biomechanists, physios and golfers. With our fitting studio inside Voxelcare’s showroom in Hoofddorp, specialist footcare technology is close to home.

We care about the details because we care about the game. We want to build equipment we’re proud to play in, recommend and keep improving.

And we’re having a lot of fun along the way. The people, the conversations, the courses—and, admittedly, the number of rounds you can justify when golf becomes your business.
